Technically this is a re-edit via Letterboxd, but since this movie came up in the generator and most of my feelings are the same... Sarah Polley's Take This Waltz is next up. It still hits home.
Again, lots to say about this particular songwriter who I'm glad has come up with a "hidden" gem in his vast discography. Sweet truly means a lot to me.
Klaatu barada nikto!
A band that you may not know about but absolutely should. Around the same time I was crushing hard on Veruca Salt, this song and band was another I couldn't get enough of. That Dog deserved to be huge
Lots to unpack with this one but again, good timing to coincide with the just-released podcast I contributed to hosted by Ryan McNeil (linked at the end). Grateful for all-things Cormac McCarthy.
New reviews, a recommendation and a general wrap-up on how things are going
This band may not have changed my life (like a certain movie character said it would) but they did become a favorite with their 2nd record. This song makes heart breaking sound joyful!
A blood-curdling film with an all-time great horror performance from Richard Backus - this is my favorite Bob Clark movie and showcases the impact of PTSD.
When the random number generator chose this first song, I couldn’t help but react out loud. It's a song I’ve chosen to talk about on Patrick Ripoll’s upcoming podcast episode for Uptown Song Club!
The random number generator chose Todd Haynes’ Safe, a film I have seen many times. It still haunts me in ways that very few films of the past can so it's a great place to begin this endeavor.
Will I still want to be doing this when I turn 50?
